beautiful open grounds overlooking the
Staunton River valley.

Chamber of Commerce as they host the
2010 Wine Fest at Red Hill. Celebrate
summer on the beautiful grounds of Red
Hill overlooking the pastoral Staunton
River valley. Visitors will enjoy wine
tastings, food, drink, live music, local
Virginia artisans, and much more.
Advance wine tasting tickets $15/$20 at
the gate. Designated driver ticket $10.

Tenth Annual Governor Henry Lecture
George Mason and Patrick Henry are the focus
of this year’s lecture, delivered by Dr.
Kevin Hardwick of James Madison University.
Two successive evening lectures at the
Library of Virginia in Richmond and Hampden
Sydney College in Farmville. Admission and
parking are free. Sponsored by the Patrick
Henry Memorial Foundation, Library of
Virginia, and Hampden-Sydney College.

Christmas Open House
Held annually on the first Sunday in
December, Henry’s home is open to the public
at no charge. Costumed docents give guided
tours of the house and plantation buildings,
decorated in traditional Christmas greenery.
Musical selections by members of
Randolph-Henry High School Chorus. New
museum pieces to be unveiled. Christmas
sweets and mulled cider are served from the
plantation kitchen.
